Make.Belong.Become.

Guiding the next generation of kind, compassionate humans and makers.

Hi, I’m Jac

I'm a Jac of all trades — and I'm done apologizing for it.

I'm a homeschool mom, a maker, a children's book author and illustrator, a soccer coach, an event planner, and the creator of Little Makers Market.

I built this because of the kids. Coaching Lucas's soccer team gave me a sense of purpose I hadn't felt in a long time — and when parents went out of their way to tell me I was making an impact, I paid attention. That kind of feedback is worth listening to.

So I went all in. In a time where my impact felt small in the world, I realized we can all make a bigger difference by focusing on our immediate communities — and there's no more receptive audience than kids. Still open. Still curious. Still fully themselves — and still learning how to communicate in a kind and confident way.

A place to make real things, find their people, show up as exactly who they are, and learn skills that will shape how they see themselves and the world around them.

That's what I'm building here. And I'm really excited to see what happens next.

Three Ways to Get Involved

Little Makers Market

Our 6-week workshop series culminating in a real market where kids become vendors. Ages 7–10. Max 12 kids. Intentional. Hands-on. Real.

School & Library Visits

Bring creativity and the magic of making into your classroom. Available for author and illustrator visits across the country.

Hands & Hearts Community Events

Monthly themed events where kids come together to make, play, learn new skills, and belong to something. The community that keeps giving.

The Research Behind It

We don't just believe this works. The science backs it up.

Neuroscientist Allan Schore's research on brain development shows that kids — especially boys — need to feel emotionally safe and free to move before real learning can happen. When they're regulated and secure, they're ready to take risks, try new things, and grow.

Education researcher Ali Carr-Chellman builds on that — showing that when we fight against how kids naturally want to engage, through play, competition, making, and doing, we lose them. But when we lean into it? They show up completely.

Every Little Maker’s Market workshop and future Hands & Hearts community event is designed around both. Safe first. Active always. Real stakes that make kids care.

Your kid has something to make.

This is where they learn to share it with the world.
